1. Listen to this morning meditation daily
It may take a few guided meditation sessions for you to become accustomed to the practice of relaxing your mind, body, and spirit. In today’s distraction-filled world, it can be a challenge to allow yourself to relax and let go. The more often you listen to this guided meditation and practice relaxing yourself, you will find that it becomes natural and easy. Listening to this guided meditation multiple times will reinforce the positive suggestions in your subconscious mind, which is very powerful at creating new neural pathways that will allow you to find more peace, calm, and connectedness with your spirit in your daily life. Meditate every morning for the best benefits!
2. Listen to this meditation in the morning, soon upon waking.
The best time to listen to this guided meditation is in the early morning right after you wake up. During these times, your brainwaves are naturally in a slower state, which means that it is easier for your subconscious mind to accept positive suggestions and change your thought patterns. You will set a positive intention for the day and will feel energized and grounded every morning!
3. Create a distraction-free environment for listening to this meditation.
Secure a peaceful location for your meditation time. Ask someone to watch your children and pets, so that you are not distracted. Listen to this recording in a quiet room, with the door closed and lights dim. You may wish to light a candle to create a relaxing environment. It’s recommended that you use headphones with noise-cancelling capabilities to help immerse yourself in the guided meditation. It is also helpful to use a sound machine, if necessary to block out outside sounds.
4. Sitting is preferred, so that you don’t fall asleep!
It’s ideal to sit upright in a comfortable chair or meditation cushion while listening to this guided meditation. If you are lying down in a bed, couch or recliner, you may find yourself getting too comfortable and falling asleep.
5. Allow yourself to “wake up” slowly after the meditation.
At the end of your meditation, I will count you up to a fully aware and awake state. This is so that you are not walking around in a state of hypnosis throughout the day. Although you may feel wide awake following the meditation, allow yourself a few moments to assimilate the information gleaned from your meditation and think about your positive intention before going about your day.
